Chik blinds have been around for generations. The centuries-old craft of Chik blind making, originated in the grand Palaces and majestic forts of northern India. Chik Blinds were originally designed to combat the scorching midday heat and are hand-crafted by a small family run business in Delhi, India. Made from natural bamboo and adorned with intricate lattice designs, Chik blinds work well in both traditional and modern settings and can subtly enhance/soften any interior space. When lowered, they create a gentle, diffused light that bathes the room in a soothing ambiance. The meticulous hand-stitching and attention-to-detail showcases the artisanal expertise poured into every blind.
How To Use
Indulge in the artistry of Chik blinds, expertly crafted to transform your windows with a touch of exquisite charm. Chik Blinds are rolled up using a traditional central rope and adorned with a hand-carved wooden pulley. Both the rope and pulley can be dyed to match any Farrow & Ball colour, ensuring a seamless aesthetic. For blinds wider than 1 meter - two pulleys and ropes are provided; allowing for a smooth operation and effortless style.

The chik blinds will be made to the measurements provided by you, you are responsible for ensuring that these measurements are correct. Any faults resulting from incorrect measurements provided by you will be rectified at your own expense. When bespoke items have been ordered through our suppliers we cannot be refunded. Products are made to your individual requirements and, as such, are neither returnable nor refundable after delivery if you change your mind. Our makers work in inches, to the nearest quarter-inch, so we will convert and round your measurements accordingly when you place your order.
Measuring for outside the Window Recess: If you prefer the blind to sit outside the window frame, kindly provide us with the window size. Please then allow/add an additional 5 cms (2 inches) on both sides, as well as at the top and bottom. This ensures that the blind has the necessary"drop" and creates a balanced appearance.
Measuring within the Window Recess: If you desire the blind to sit within a window recess, please provide us with the exact recess measurement with 2cm (¾inch) reduction off the length and width to allow the blind to roll up and down effortlessly and ensures a correct fit when lowered.

Design Details
The blinds come with string ties to affix to eyelets (1.5cm recommended) or hooks (not included). The ties are then fastened through the metal hooks or eyelets that can be easily screwed into the top of the window frame. For those seeking a more discreet touch, the top binding of the blinds can be securely attached to a wooden baton using Velcro (wooden baton not included). The rope can be secured by wrapping round a brass cleat attached to the wall or window frame (included). We can supply the Barfi, Gilas, Chirac, Sidha, Choodi & Naguar (pictured below) in Natural Ecru as standard. For an extra cost we can match to any Farrow & Ball colour, using carefully selected dyes. Chik Blinds are made to order in bespoke sizes - designed to meet your specific needs, these blinds can be ordered to a maximum width of 1.8 meters (5ft 10") and there are no restrictions on the length.
